Using Meditation Through Music


Clearing your mind through meditation is one of the most peaceful ways you can find to just relieve all the tension you have in your body. Once your mind and body are relaxed you can start to just enjoy some time to yourself. I know that most of us listen to the radio at some point of the day. You may enjoy music ranging from country,to easy listening,to disco,soft rock,classic country,or even blue grass.


Whatever kind of music you enjoy you can find this as a very relaxing way of meditation. For a lot of you that are in good physical shape and like to exercise in a gym at home or even by jogging you want to be able to free your mind of a lot of things that have bothered you through the day.If you are out and about doing your exercises take a Walkman with you and just put it on a station that you really like and let the music just relax all of your tension.

If you are at home exercising or even cooking or cleaning if you have a CD player get one of your favorite Cd's and play it while you are doing the things you need to do.You can also just go get some blank tapes and record your favorite music off the radio for your meditation. One of the things I find relaxing is listening to music while I am working on the computer.

I have found free sites such as lime wire and frost wire and have taken the time to download my all time favorite songs. I transfer the songs I enjoy into my windows media player and play my music everyday when I am on the computer. I just quietly sing along to my favorite music relax and just meditate about my day. I actually use my keyboard a lot and have to do a lot of typing about different subjects. I have found that if I am not completely relaxed and my mind clear I will make many mistakes in my work which I can't afford to do.

I know I need to be completely relaxed so I pull up my windows media player and play my most favorite songs that will help me to use mediation to get my work done. I have also bought some blank Cd's and burned my favorite songs and then listen to that CD while working on the computer or even going somewhere in my car. After having a busy long hard day I know I still have a lot of work in the home to do.

As soon as I get in my car and I think about all the things I will have to do I put my CD in the player clear my mind and relax and meditate. After I get all my work done I and the kids to bed and the house is very quiet I will draw me a hot bubble bath and listen to my music and just clear my mind and gather my thoughts so I then can start the next day with a clear head.


So whether you enjoy meditating by exercising,shopping,or listening to your favorite music you will find once you have released all of your tension you can then start to feel good about yourself and when you feel good about yourself you can then feel good about your life.

If you are a parent of a child that has suffered from ear infections then you might be interested to know that there are some very effective home remedies that can be used to treat them.  Some children can be very prone to earn infections and over time can cost a small fortune from all those doctors visits.  Then there is also the times when an earache begins at night when it is difficult to see a doctor or on vacation and a good home remedy can give the child relief until such a time that you can visit a doctor.  Of course, if the ear pain is severe and doesn't subside with use of the home remedy, then you should still visit a doctor as soon as you are able.

Ear infections have haunted people for many years and long before prescribed medications were available they were treated with natural remedies.  Many remedies are made from products that you will likely already have in your home.  The effective home remedies to treat ear infections have been used for many years, even after prescribed medications became available, and are still being used today.

A warm compress is always a good option for earaches.  For a warm compress you can use a wheat bag if you have one and if not you can make a compress by putting some rice into a sock and warming it in the microwave for one minute.  Then place the compress on the child's sore ear and let them lie on their side with the bad ear facing down.  By using a warm compress this way it can help to drain any blockage in the child's ear which may relieve the pain.

Hydrogen peroxide is often found in most medicine cabinets and is usually used to clean wounds and kill any germs.  A few drops of hydrogen peroxide in a sore ear will help to kill any bacteria in the ear that might be causing the infection.

The next home remedy to treat ear infections is a recipe from the kitchen which contains onion, garlic and olive oil.  You need to simmer the onion and garlic in some oil and water.  Simmer until the mixture reduces and then strain the mixture so you are left with a liquid.  When cool, apply a few drops into the sore ear.  This can kill the infection and if used at the first sign of ear infection it can clear it up quite fast.

A mixture of vinegar and water is another handy recipe to treat ear infections.  Just mix 50% water with 50% vinegar and apply a few drops into the sore ear.

Lastly, and an unlikely remedy is vodka.  And no we aren't suggesting your child drink vodka until they no longer feel pain!  Just dab some vodka onto a cotton ball and hold it against the ear.

A remedy that might work for one child might not work for another, so you may need to try a few of the remedies until you find one that works well for your child.  Once you know which remedy works for your child then it will be there ready for you whenever your child develops an ear infection.  Remember, if pain persists or is severe then take your child to see a doctor as soon as possible.

The stress that you feel is well known to many as you ask, “What can I do to relieve back pain?” Many lives are put on hold for days, weeks, months, or even years as they try to deal with this problem. For many it comes as a result of injury, for some just being used in a way that it isn’t used to. There could even be some deeper problem that could result in surgery and be caused by disease. There are some people who are prone to it because of family histories and genes. Whatever the case, though, they are all doing the same thing and that is asking, “What can I do to relieve back pain?”

“What can I do to relieve back pain from an injury?”

The injury can come from any number of things, it can be a pulled muscle that you got from playing some sport that you haven’t in a while and that you properly weren’t warmed up for. It can also come from something as silly as a sneeze. You may have fallen down. For whatever reason, if the pain is mild you might be able to handle it without going to a doctor. If you have any doubts or concerns, you should go see a doctor.

Use a cold pack on your back for the first 72 hours. The first day of that time frame, use it for ten minutes every hour. For the next two days, use it 3 times per day. After that, then change to heat.

Make sure that you give your back a chance to rest, especially if it is a muscle pull. Lay on your back, preferably on the floor, with a pillow under your head and with your feet elevated. They can either be slightly elevated with a pillow under your knees or with your feet up in a chair and your legs bent at the knees.

Take ibuprofen as recommended on the label and if the pain persists for longer than 3-4 days, talk to your doctor.

There are some things that you can do that will help lessen the pain and will also lessen the chances that the pain will get worse. One of these things is making sure you are wearing the right shoes. Make sure they are comfortable and low heeled. Also if you have to stand for extended periods of time, rest your foot on a step or low stool. You may want to do that same thing while sitting down as well as making sure that you are sitting with proper posture. You will also wand to make sure that your work station is at a comfortable level so that you don’t have to keep looking down of have your back hunched over.

A skin boil is caused when an infection enters the skin through a cut or skin tear.  Since people with certain chronic conditions, such as diabetes, often get skin tears they tend to get a lot of boils as well, though diabetes doesn't cause boils directly.  When the boil first starts to form it will most likely be small and reddish.  As the infection gets worse pus will form under the skin which will make the boil bigger and give it a whitish appearance.

Boils can appear all over the body and at any age, but they tend to show up most often on the face, shoulders, back, buttocks and thighs.  They usually will get big enough that they will burst and all the pus, and infection, will drain off with no intervention.

If a person with a compromised immune system gets a boil they may need to seek medical care since they are much more susceptible to the infection getting serious.  For people in good health, you would only need to see a doctor to treat a boil if one or more of the following conditions occurred:

1. The boil turned red with streaks and / or became extremely painful.  A little discomfort is expected when you have a boil and it can be worse depending on where the boil is located on your  body, but extreme pain can be a sign of a serious infection and  you may need some medication so it's best to talk to your doctor if that happens.

2. You develop a fever.  This too is a sign that the infection that caused the boil may have gotten worse or spread, you should talk to your doctor right away.

3. You form a group of boils. This also indicates a more severe infection and you may need a prescribed antibiotic from your doctor to get rid of it.

Some people think they should pop their boil and let it drain but that can actually make things worse.  Few people have a sterile environment in which to work in their own home, therefore if you try to lance the boil you may only introduce additional bacteria into the area and create a worse infection.  If lancing is  necessary it should only be performed by a professional in a sterile environment.  Let your doctor handle it.

It's also important to keep the area of the boil and the surrounding areas clean and disinfected so you don't spread the infection.  Carefully cleanse the area of the boil throughout the day to keep it clean, and wash your hands before and after contact with the boil.

Once the boil drains keep the area cleaned and covered with a bandage as well as an antibacterial ointment to prevent further infection.

At one time or another most of us will have a skin boil and while they can be painful and unattractive they are rarely serious and more often then not will burst on their own.  Just remember to keep the area clean and don't pop the boil yourself otherwise you could turn a fairly common situation into a serious infection.  If your boil needs additional attention your doctor can handle it.
